Welcome to the website of the Limestone County School District. The Limestone County Public School System is the home to over 9100 students and approximately 1100 employees. The six high schools; six middle schools; nine elementary schools; the Career Tech Center; the Ombudsman Center; and the Limestone County Alternative School offer top quality educational opportunities and experiences for every student in the district.

Limestone County is located in the heart of the Tennessee Valley between the northern bank of the Tennessee River and the southern border of the state of Tennessee. With a population of over 70,000, the county lies in close proximity to the cities of Huntsville, Decatur and Madison. Limestone County is also within 100 miles of both Birmingham to the south and Nashville to the north. This area has been recognized as one of the fastest growing areas in the state. It is rich in history, tradition, and opportunity.

We, in the Limestone County Schools, are working hard to fulfill a commitment to children. Our Stanford Achievement Test, American College Testing, and graduation exam scores consistently rank above state and national averages. Partnership in Education Programs with local businesses and active Parent-Teacher Organizations are integral components of our successful school climate. Additionally, our schools offer a full range of extracurricular activities including academic clubs, athletics, and music.
